A Celebration Built Around Who They Are
Mollie and Garrison’s wedding had a clear point of view from the very beginning. Held on Easter Saturday at The French Farmhouse in Collinsville, Texas, their day was colorful, intentional, and full of details that reflected exactly who they are as a couple. It was also one of the most fun weddings our wedding planners have been part of. Weddings at The French Farmhouse
The French Farmhouse sits on 56 acres of rolling hills about an hour north of Dallas, and it is a venue with a genuine story behind it. Michelle and Steve Scribner are high school sweethearts from Denton, Texas, who found themselves with this land and a vision for something beyond a cattle ranch. Michelle brought a lifelong passion for architecture and design to the project, and their daughter Kelsey brought her background in event management. Together, the family opened the venue in September 2020, and it has been one of North Texas’s most sought-after wedding destinations ever since.
What sets the space apart is how considered every detail is. The antiques throughout the property were sourced from around the world, including an eight-foot French trumeau mirror from the 1800s and a set of ten-foot doors originally from a church in France. The grounds feature a beautiful white chapel, a cocktail pavilion, a grand reception space, towering trees, open fields, and a picturesque pond. The French Farmhouse even has its own vintage antique car, Trudy, which made for some beautiful portraits on the property.
A Palette Designed for the Spring Season
Mollie and Garrison chose to get married on Easter weekend, and their floral design reflected that in the best way. Lavender, soft pink, peach, sage green, sky blue, and warm yellow ran through every element of the day, from the stationery to the florals to the tablescapes. The result felt fresh and seasonal without being costume-y or overdone.
The stationery suite set the tone early: a cream and gold invitation with a custom monogram crest, paired with lavender envelopes and soft purple ribbon. The bridesmaids each wore a different pastel gown, ranging from lavender and sage to peach, blush, and floral prints, and carried individual bouquets in the same palette.
The florals continued the story throughout the day. Inside the chapel, a full pastel arch of pinks, peaches, lavender, blue delphinium, yellow garden roses, and white hydrangea framed the ceremony spot in front of the venue’s soaring arched windows. Low floral arrangements lined the aisle on both sides.
The Ceremony Space
The French Farmhouse chapel is a stunning space for weddings. Floor-to-ceiling arched windows bring the surrounding trees into the room and fill the interior with natural light. Exposed wooden beams run overhead, and the whole space feels intentional and serene.
Mollie walked down the aisle in an off-the-shoulder gown with a dramatic bow at the back, carrying a bouquet of peonies, ranunculus, delphinium, and garden roses in the full spring palette. Garrison was in a classic navy suit. With the floral arch behind them and light pouring through the windows, the ceremony space was picture-perfect.
The Wedding Details
The tablescapes inside the reception hall were one of the highlights. Each table had a different colored napkin, pink, yellow, peach, blue, lavender, and green, all set on gold chargers. Gilded oval frames served as table numbers. Taper candles and bud vases with single stems ran down the center of each table. And at the couple’s table, hand-illustrated plates reading “The Kuehlers” served as the most personal place setting in the room.
Mollie also hand-crafted every single place setting card herself. That level of care does not go unnoticed by guests.
The seating chart was a standout moment on its own. A large arched display read “Let’s Par-tee, Please Find Your Seat,” with rows of actual golf balls resting on tees, each one labeled with a guest’s name.
Thyme and Date brought in custom charcuterie spreads shaped into the couple’s last name initials for cocktail hour. The Little Camper vintage photo booth gave guests a fun activity and a memory to take home. And Rentals by Rocha set up a full putt putt golf course on the lawn, complete with lounge seating nearby.
The French Farmhouse Wedding Reception
The wedding party entered carrying giant gold Easter eggs, and the room responded accordingly. It was a joyful, high-energy moment that set the tone for the rest of the night.
The dance floor stayed packed. Barnett Sweets and Co. delivered a four-tier hand-painted wedding cake covered in colorful florals, alongside a custom sheet cake reading “The Kuehlers.” The send-off was a ribbon wand exit, with Mollie in a sparkly reception dress, both of them beaming.

Mollie and Garrison were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Mollie brought creativity and attention to detail to every decision, and Garrison was right there with her every step of the way. They were collaborative, decisive, and excited throughout the process.
