There are times when a wedding design redefines what elegance and scale can look like. Chloe and Demetri’s celebration at The Adolphus in Dallas did exactly that.
Designed around a palette of romantic pink hues, every element of the day was thoughtfully curated to create an immersive and unforgettable experience. From custom dance floors and bespoke stationery to Bridgerton-inspired florals and an electrifying performance from Emerald City Band, the evening was layered with details that felt both grand and deeply personal.

Why Couples Love Getting Married at The Adolphus
One of the most iconic wedding venues in Dallas, The Adolphus has been a landmark in the city for over a century. Opened in 1912, the hotel was originally built by Adolphus Busch of the Anheuser-Busch family and quickly became known for its European-inspired architecture, ornate detailing, and exceptional hospitality. Today, it remains one of the most sought-after venues for couples who want a wedding that feels both historic and luxurious.
Beyond its beauty, The Adolphus offers incredible versatility for weddings of many sizes. The hotel features multiple event spaces, including the stunning Governor’s Ballroom on the 19th floor and the Grand Ballroom, both known for their soaring ceilings, dramatic chandeliers, and timeless design. These spaces can comfortably host large celebrations while still feeling elegant and intimate, making them perfect for weddings with anywhere from around 100 to over 300 guests.
From a wedding planner’s perspective, The Adolphus is truly one of our favorite venues to work in Dallas. The service and coordination from the venue team are exceptional, and the spaces are designed in a way that allows for truly transformative event design. Whether couples want something classic and timeless or bold and dramatic, the venue provides a beautiful canvas that elevates every detail.
Because of its popularity and reputation, weddings at The Adolphus often book well in advance, typically 12 to 18 months ahead, especially for prime spring and fall dates. For couples dreaming of a grand Dallas wedding with historic charm and modern luxury, it’s absolutely worth securing your date early.

A Timeless Setting for Unforgettable Moments
Steeped in history and architectural beauty, The Adolphus provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s vision for a luxury pink-themed wedding. Its soaring ceilings, ornate detailing, and European-inspired design created an atmosphere that felt effortlessly elegant.
Chloe and Demetri envisioned a celebration that felt intimate in spirit yet grand in scale and this iconic Dallas landmark delivered exactly that. From the ceremony in the Governor’s Ballroom on the 19th floor to the sweeping reception below, every space felt worthy of the occasion.
A Palette of Pink: Romantic, Playful, and Refined
The design concept for this wedding at The Adolphus centered around elevated shades of pink. Our goal was to create something classic and timeless while still embracing the romance and whimsy that pink naturally brings.
Soft blush tones blended with deeper magentas to create dimension and depth throughout the space. Rather than simply using pink as a color, we designed an atmosphere around it — one that felt layered, luxurious, and unforgettable.

Floral Design: A Signature Statement by Eventfully Designed
Florals played a defining role in the overall design, transforming each space and setting the tone for the celebration. Our team of wedding planners and designers approached the floral design not as accents, but as statement pieces that shaped the entire environment.
Wedding Ceremony Design
The ceremony took place in the Governor’s Ballroom, whose dramatic height called for a design that felt equally grand. To complement the scale of the room, we created towering pedestal arrangements that reached over nine feet tall, framing the 30-person wedding party beautifully.
Potted compote arrangements lined the aisle, while delicate pink petals scattered along the floor added softness and romance to the space.

Reception Centerpieces
For the reception, lush arrangements of roses, ranunculus, and orchids in shades ranging from powder pink to rich magenta created a sense of texture and movement across the room.
Gold accents and candlelight intertwined with the blooms, casting a warm glow across the tables and adding another layer of elegance to the evening.

A Reception Designed to Impress
With 250 guests in attendance, the reception needed to feel expansive while still maintaining a sense of intimacy. As guests entered the grand ballroom, they were immediately immersed in the design.
The Adolphus’ signature sky-painted ceiling created a whimsical backdrop, while custom pink lighting washed the room in a soft glow that felt both flattering and playful.
Tablescapes were designed with layers of texture and thoughtful detail. White and pink toile linens, silk pink bows, fine china with crystal edges, and lush floral arrangements created a setting that felt sophisticated yet inviting.

Details That Elevated the Experience
True luxury lies in the details, and this wedding was filled with thoughtful touches that brought the overall design to life:
- Custom calligraphy signage and menus that continued the romantic pink aesthetic
- Hand-painted escort cards in soft blush tones
- A four-tier wedding cake adorned with pearls and fresh florals
- A lighting design that highlighted the architecture of The Adolphus while keeping the ambiance intimate
- Live guest sketching during the reception, giving each attendee a unique keepsake from the evening

The Eventfully Designed Difference
This wedding at The Adolphus was a perfect example of what happens when thoughtful design meets meticulous execution. Our team of wedding planners worked closely with the couple and vendor partners to ensure every detail felt cohesive and intentional.
From the first design sketches to the final floral installations, every element was created to leave a lasting impression — not just on the day itself, but in the memories and photographs that will be cherished for years to come.
